Arsenal plays before Manchester City for the last time on a Premier League weekend this campaign, so the Gunners have an opportunity to apply pressure directly on the current champions by beating Bournemouth.

As every Gunners fan knows, Arsenal’s chances of taking their first title in twenty years depend on winning their three remaining matches and City slipping up.

Tottenham’s end-season meltdown in the last few days means our North London rivals cannot be relied upon to inflict any damage on City when they play each other soon – the more likely banana skin for Pep’s men is at Fulham next week.

The Cherries come into the match in their best form of the season, despatching Brighton 3-0 last time out. Forwards Dominic Solanke and Justin Kluivert have shared 25 Premier League goals so far and will require close attention from William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.

Daniel Anjorin tribute

It has been widely reported that fans attending tomorrow’s match will give a minute’s applause in the 14th minute to honour the memory of Daniel, a boyhood Arsenal fan. AFTV has confirmed they will be joining the tribute on tomorrow’s watchalong. RIP Daniel.

Team news

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta confirmed his side’s availability earlier today, saying: “Yes, everybody is fit and available so now it’s a headache to make the right selection. Good headache.”

The manager is expected to welcome back defender Jurrien Timber to the match-day squad for the first time since the opening game, following the Dutchmen’s unfortunate ACL injury.

Barring any last-minute hiccups, Gunners fans can expect the same starting XI as in the last two matches, which includes Thomas Partey’s welcome restoration at the base of midfield.

Bournemouth

Luis Sinisterra and Marcus Tavernier will likely continue on the sidelines. Utility player Milos Kerkez misses out due to suspension.

Striker Antoine Semenyo will be assessed due to a knee injury. Ukrainian centre-back Illia Zabarnyi is available after missing the Brighton win due to illness, and midfielder Romain Faivre could also return.

Predicted XI

Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu, Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Saka, Havertz, Trossard

Match prediction

Arsenal 4.1 Bournemouth

What are the managers saying?

Mikel Arteta

On the mindset required in the last three games:

“Just focus and put all your energy in finding that determination and willingness to do our best to earn the right to win games. The first one is Bournemouth, it’s at home, it’s going to be an unbelievable atmosphere again towards the game. Be present and be in the moment and let’s see what happens.”

Andoni Iraola

On the challenge of facing the Gunners:

“Tomorrow is a really difficult game for us, really difficult, they are in good form and they have no injuries or will have most of the squad available. They are playing for the title, so at the end, it’s going to be a difficult game and I hope we can be at the level.”

How to watch

The match is being shown live in the UK on TNT Sports 1. Kick-off is 12:30 UK time.
