Arsenal are keen on signing the Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres at the end of the season and he is their number one target.
A report from Football Transfers claims that the Swedish international striker has been scouted by the Premier League club multiple times in recent months.
Journalist Steve Kay has now added that Arsenal scouts will be in attendance when Sporting CP take on Boavista on Sunday evening. They will look to run the rule over the 25-year-old striker ahead of a potential move in the summer.

It is no secret that Arsenal need a reliable goalscorer and Gyokeres should prove to be a quality acquisition. He has proven himself in the Portuguese league and the opportunity to return to England will be an attractive one for the former Coventry City striker.
Viktor Gyokeres would be an upgrade on Gabriel Jesus
The Swedish striker has 33 goals and 13 assist across all competitions this season and he could prove to be a major upgrade on Gabriel Jesus who has not been able to score goals consistently. The Brazilian international remains a quality attacker, but he’s not a reliable goalscorer and Arsenal will need to replace him.
Gyokeres could shoulder the goalscoring responsibility for Arsenal next season and help them improve in the final third.
The Gunners finished second in the title race last season and they are currently fighting for the title once again. However, the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool have more depth in their attack, and Arsenal might struggle to match up to them in the end.
Signing a quality striker will be a top priority for the Gunners and Gyokeres is certainly one of the best around Europe right.
