Athletic Club Bilbao winger Nico Williams has been linked with a move away from the club and Premier League clubs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are keen on him.

According to a report from HITC, the 21-year-old winger’s representatives are now informing interested teams that the player is ready to move in the summer.

The development will come as a major boost for the Premier League clubs who are keen on securing his services.

Arsenal need more quality and depth in the wide areas. Mikel Arteta has not been able to rotate players like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka due to the lack of options. Williams will add pace and trickery in the final third.

The 21-year-old is on the radar of Liverpool as well, who are planning for the potential departure of Mohammed Salah. The Egyptian will enter the final year of his contract in the summer and he could be sold if he does not sign a contract extension with the club.

Meanwhile, Chelsea need to bring in upgrades some players like Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Nico Williams could be a future star

Williams has already established himself as a reliable attacker in the Spanish league and he has six goals and 11 assist across all competitions. He is certainly good enough to play in the Premier League and he could be a key player for all three clubs.

The attacker has a €50 million release clause in his contract and it is fair to assume that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have the financial muscle to pay up. It will be interesting to see if they decide to trigger his release release clause in the summer.

Williams is still only 21 and he is likely to improve with coaching and experience. He has all the tools to develop into a top class player with the right guidance.
