Mikel Arteta held his pre-West Ham press conference on Friday afternoon ahead of Sunday’s clash. The boss provided a fitness update on a handful of players, including Bukayo Saka who is IN contention to play for the Gunners. Read everything Arteta had to say below.
On the latest team news:
“We have a few still in contention. They’ve been evolving really well, so tomorrow we’ll have another training session. We’re hopeful we’re going to have a few back and that we can put out a very competitive squad out there.”
on Bukayo Saka’s fitness:
“He’s been recovering this week and he looks OK.”
on Thomas Partey’s fitness:
“He’s progressing really well but it’s a bit too soon to tell you exactly when we’re going to have him back.”
on Gabriel Jesus’ fitness:
“No update.”
